Vision
Statement
Hinton Avenue United Methodist Church will be an
inviting, active church home where all God's people
are welcomed to learn, grow, and share communion
together, going forth in love to bring the good news
of Jesus Christ to others throughout our community
and the world.
Mission
Statement
The Mission of Hinton Avenue United Methodist Church
is:
to proclaim boldly the Good News of Jesus Christ;
to invite aggressively everyone to come to hear God’s
Word;
to welcome warmly every stranger who comes to us
in response to the invitation;
to nurture carefully those who respond by incorporating
them, holding them in prayer, teaching them, preaching
to them faithfully from God’s Word, and equipping
them for the ministry that God has in mind; and
to
send them joyfully into the world with the Good
News of Jesus Christ.
All of this is our answer to
Jesus’ command to “go,
therefore, make disciples of all nations (Matthew
28:19).”
