Our Ministries
Clothes Closet - Mondays and Tuesdays, 9:00-12:00
Dedicated persons aid those in the Belmont community who are in need of clothing. Donations to the clothing closet are always welcome! We find we are often in need of mens pants, shoes, and undergarments.
United Methodist Youth Fellowship
The HAUMC Youth Fellowship is a tight-knit group of young people. The youth participate in Teens Opposing Poverty, helping to feed those in the Charlottesville community, and in other local and global missions. The youth meet weekly on Sundays for dinner and fellowship at the church.
Music - Chancel Choir, Handbells, and Sign Language
The music ministry at HAUMC provides opportunities for fellowship and worship for anyone and everyone. The Chancel Choir performs the anthem on Sunday morning and is directed and accompanied by experience musicians Gary Bibb and Jennifer Sandy. The Handbell Choir comes together once a week to ring three octaves of bells and often performs with the Chancel Choir in worship. For elementary school age kids, the Sign Language ministry is a time when these children can come together to learn to sing and sign along with popular contemporary Christian music.
Hintonaires
Always ready with an uplifting gospel song, the Hintonaires traveling choir sings for nursing homes around the Charlottesville area each week. If you love the good ol' hymns, this group may be for you!
Shared Ministries
Many other groups call HAUMC home for their own ministries. From AA and AlAnon to the Boy Scouts, our church is always full of life and excitement!
